After-School
Homework ProgramChildren ages 4 to 12 are provided with a safe haven where they receive a healthy snack or meal, may participate in praise and worship, and get help with their homework.
Initiated
as a service project by a group of high school students from St. Mark’s School
of Dallas, the Robotics Club gives children exposure to technology.
Art ClubThe Art Club gives children an outlet to express themselves while learning the fundamentals of art. Nursing homes and prisons receive the art that the children create.
Encourages
children to find and develop their voice while learning scriptures and establishing

Girls MentoringGirls are provided with mentors who listen to, encourage and guide them through their teen years.
Boys to MenConnects boys with men who encourage, challenge, esteem and affirm them in their spiritual, educational and masculine development.
Using interactive workbooks with well-known sports figures as examples, the self-esteem and reading, writing and comprehension level of youth is elevated. Youth receive their own workbook.
Using interactive workbooks, youth are encouraged to abstain from behavior that will short-circuit their long-term goals while elevating their reading, writing and comprehension level. Youth receive their own workbook.
Violence PreventionUsing a 10-week curriculum, youth are taught how to deal with anger in productive, non-violent ways. They are also taught the causes, effects and results of violence on society and individuals.
Teamwork and fellowship is stressed as youth play basketball, board games and other competitive sports.
Readers Lead, Leaders Read“It is with books as with men... a very small number play a great part, the rest are lost in the multitude.” Voltaire. An adult facilitated reading club wherein youth are given a mandatory and an elective reading list.
Assists youth in planning and preparing to enter community colleges, universities or trade schools. Services range from tutoring for the TAKS, PSAT and SAT tests as well as assistance with finding financial aid and scholarships.
Community Service
YBC children and youth, as well as children, youth and adults from the local community may perform and receive credit for community service as an act of charity, restitution or a Rites of Passage.
Creates a sense of community among Spanish-speaking adults while teaching them English.
On weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., children receive a morning snack, nutritious
lunch and an afternoon snack. Reading is stressed each day during the summer.
As pictured here, activities ranging from arts and crafts to Bible study, creative
writing, choir and field trips give children a fun, learning summer that they
will never forget.
Summer Youth Intern ProgramAn opportunity for youth to develop leadership skills, grow in grace and develop a social morality. Youth raise support to serve in this program.
In
demonstration of the “free gift” that God has given us through Jesus
Christ, we display compassion by giving each child who participates in YBC
a “free
gift” at Christmas. Gifts are also provided for a select number of needy
families at Christmas. See Giving.
